Let's not sugar-coat it, people:
we've all messed up at some point.
No matter if we see it as a little thing or a great thing,
just messing up is bringing light to our imperfections,
and I don't need to emphasize how much sin is in the world:
even the sinner knows that.
Truth of the matter is that
all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God according to Romans 3:23.You what to know what else is the truth?
You cannot possibly save yourself.
Even though the people in Exodus 19:8 said they will do everything the Lord told themlook what happened to them.
Let's wake up and smell the roses and admit the thorns on them.
There is not one of us that can save ourselves.
Even if the whole world said that you were the greatest person in the world
the Bible makes it very clear in Isaiah 64:6 that our own righteousness is like filthy rags.Yet despite all this, knowing from the beginning who we were in our mother's womb,
(
David called himself a man born from iniquity in Psalm 51:5,but was still called a man after God's own heart in 1 Samuel 13:14)
Jesus said in Matthew 5:20 that if our righteousness doesn't surpass that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, we will not enter the kingdom of heaven. So what do we do?
According to our own ability and works, we are guilty.
This is just the truth, that's all.
The fact of the matter is that God knew from the beginning we couldn't do it on our own. He allowed us to learn the hard way that anything we do could not possibly rescue us from eternal damnation.
Even Lucifer had to learn the hard way,
and hell was made for him according to Matthew 25:41.And guess what?
God didn't want
us to be eternally separated from him.
That is why he made a way Isaiah 43:19...He didn't
have to... but he
did...
And with heaven's best too...
